It sinks down into the recesses of your subconscious and speaks directly to that place. Art is myth-making, made by those who need it to survive. The collective consciousness of all people moves through the hands and into the world and reminds us we are so much more than jobs and houses and merely breathing and using up the worlds resources. If my art looks like a pretty picture, think again. It has an aesthetic, but one thats born of a need to make the world right somehow. A world where we are reminded of our place within the world we live as a part of nature and not so much seperate from it. Ember Fairbairn is known for her densely layered oil paintings of abstracted organic shapes which reference nature. The work also investigates the way in which colour can impact on the viewer and the space in which it resides. Her work is both about painting itself and how it interacts with space, dimension and form. The pictorial themes often speak about the experience of time, referencing mythology and our relationship with and within nature and the primordial and instinctual nature of humanity. Ember is interested in what makes a painting libidinal, and how that illustrates how that resides in each of us and what removes us from it? Ember has exhibited since 2000, selling work and completing commissions. She is in private and public collections in Australia and internationally, having exhibited regularly in Melbourne, Sydney , Brisbane and Singapore. She has also exhibited in New York. Art lives in the imaginal realm, where all is possible. In a world where hope is dwindling, art allows us to have hope. We need the dreamers more now than EVER before. I encourage all art lovers to have a good look at what you are buying, you aren't just buying a piece of art, you are buying the cumulative experience of an artists years of dedication to their craft and the collective hopes and dreams of humanity. A world without art would be a very bleak place and not a world I would choose to live. Inferior canvases that are mass produced might look ok at first but the canvas quality is very cheap and often the frame will warp, theres a massive price difference in buying from a framer which contributes to a higher cost but Im not interested in compromising on quality. Its not inferior in fact it is preferable for some techniques. If its a larger size then it will already have a support frame for hanging, if small then it will need to be framed shadow box frame unless otherwise stated. The most recent works have seen a further exploration of this theme in terms of how as individuals we are made up of the same elements as nature, how do the elemental forces of nature inform us of what it is to be human? What is it to live? This way of working is also informed by sexuality and what animates us. I explore this constantly in my work and concur with her teachings. Support the artists of this world.

The Cambridge History of Nineteenth-Century Political Thought. The lovers in the foreground, seen embracing against what looks like a gigantic Love Heart sweet, suitably inscribed, are brought back to life in the moment of a kiss. It has continued to be referred to as such in some of the standard music references such as and History of Western Music but was not unchallenged. Chagall will north be married to the teenage Bella, his beloved muse, and so the gravity-defying strength of their partnership begins. Death and human cruelty are laid bare by this masterpiece, as its scale and shadow daunt and possess the mind. But as the becameNapoleon became not the limbo for nationalism, but the object of its struggle.
